The countdown begins...
why I write cookbooks and other news
Welcome to Leftovers! If you follow me here or on socials you might have heard me say this once or twice before, but I have a new book coming out in 50 days (March 30th) and this is VERY exciting for me and there’s only 2 reasons:
I love creating cookbooks: From all the things I do, creating a cookbook is one of the most enjoyable parts of my work and it’s something I hope (fingers crossed) I do for the rest of my life. From testing and tasting, to writing, editing, shooting the right recipe and designing the layout for the book fills me with such joy and purpose. It can be a very long process. My first book took roughly 6 months, whereas this book will have been 2 years in the making.
To have worked on something as long as this requires everything of me; from patience and “trusting the process”. In the two years to create this book, I was also delivering free recipe content on a weekly basis on social media, sometimes 5 recipe videos a week! The gift you could give me in return is one pre-order😊
This book is not like other books, and I really mean this: This book delivers solutions with a chapter dedicated to each of our most loved, but also commonly wasted ingredients and recipes for how to cook with them. I collected over 10,000 responses and narrowed down the top 20 wasted ingredients in our homes to create a 135 recipe cookbook.
Covering everything from weeknight dinners and comforting one-pots, to sweet treats and instant crowd-pleasers, this book embraces the power of plants and shows how anyone can get delicious, veg-packed meals on the table with joy and ease.
Experience food from my new cookbook a week before the book launch at Fortnum’s- limited seats are available. Tickets may include a signed copy of You Can Cook This!
