Hey and welcome to Leftovers, my monthly newsletter.
Each month, you’ll receive a small present from me in the form of an email. I’m going to keep you in the loop with everything that’s going on in my life from recipes to upcoming events and cooking classes. I promise not to inundate you with email - as you're probably already receiving enough of those!
Last week…
For those of you who don’t know, I have been living in England now for 27 months. Last week was the first time since the end of the summer that really felt like, dare I say it, winter… I spent most of my time indoors developing and testing recipes, from a sticky toffee pudding (recipe video coming soon) to a cheesy tofu scramble (watch the recipe video here).
Some of these recipes I’m testing are for social media (of course), so my community (that’s you!) can make them at home. Some are for bigger projects which I can’t speak about at this time - but soon, you’ll hear me talking all about it, to the point at which I’ll start to most likely annoy myself!
🍝Online cooking classes…
Three weeks ago I started hosting live cooking classes online (not on Instagram Live). This is a more intimate setting, where a small number of people join me in my home kitchen and we cook a recipe together. This started out as a trial to see if this was something that was of interest and it seems - because it’s becoming more popular each class - that I’m going to be bringing it back next year in January 2022!
👉🏻 There are 2 more classes left in 2021 -

☕I’m going to be a barista…
If (like me) you’re a coffee snob or have seen me attempting to make latte art on my Instagram stories, you will know that I love having an espresso machine.*Full disclosure: This is not a brand endorsement* We paid full whack for this espresso machine, and for us, it’s totally been worth the investment. A lot of people ask the brand of the machine, it’s the Sage Barista and the coffee beans we are using at the moment are Union Roasted.
I’ve been invited by Union Roasted to visit their HQ in a few weeks to learn how they roast their coffee, and most importantly, to learn how to make latte art - the proper way! Keep an eye out on my Instagram stories to see if I have what it takes to become a true barista (for the day).
☃️Tis the season…
