Last month was a good mix of work and rest. I spent a lovely few weeks in the south of France where I visited the local markets to buy only what I needed for that day. It really got me thinking about overproduction and overconsumption, and I loved the slower pace and being able to use up everything I had before going back to the local market.
This month, I’m launching my new plant-based burger which we are calling Big Max! It’s available to order online in the UK starting September 8th. We’ve incorporated a low-waste approach with this burger, using leftover waffle fries as the middle layer. I worked really hard and ate many burgers to make this the tastiest burger ever, I’d love to know what you think. Leftover subscribers can find an exclusive offer at the end of this newsletter.
September always fills me with that back-to-school feeling, even though I left school a very, (very) long time ago. This time of year gets me thinking about free school meals, something I’m learning more about the more time I spend in the UK. I’ve written about why I believe free school meals should be a universal right for all school-age children, and what we can do to help make this a reality. I’ve also shared an exclusive recipe which is something I normally would have the Sunday before school. Finally, you’ll find another voice note from me in the subscription below.
